What an year its been. Can't believe its ending. Finally managed to get my Annual Leave approved. Have 15 Left. Yet I only got 11 due to tight deadlines and work schedule. Ideally should have utilized the Leave to study for the Exam but ended up getting them only at the year end. (to eat and sleep I guess..)

Well, something I wanted to Blog about for some time. Ever heard of the myth / fact.... whatever of the 7 Look-alikes ?? Sometimes I take a tuk-tuk from Galle Road to my place. Half way down the Road the bugger turns the wheeler to the Right (to a gravel Road). Then I ask "Koheda Yanney ??" (where the Hell u goin ??) "why you live down that Lane" comes the reply. Then I say "No I Don't, go straight down the main Road" He says "theres someone who looks just like you in that Road". Hmm.... Okay....

A few hundred meters down he turns to the Left. Again, What the hek ?? same story. Another one (Quite close to my place too). Then I get down at my place. He says "Oh so you live here". (Most of the Tuk-shaw (ado I crafted this word Okay...) guys knows me and all my relatives in the area. - ya know I Rock the place....)

I wonder if they mistakenly try to take the other guys to my place. Hope not !! This happens quite often when I take a Tuk-shaw which is relatively new to the area. Even my sis had faced this situ where the Tuk-shaw guy had turned to the road on the Right thinking she lives there. My father also had seen one of these guys and had thought it was me !!

Thought I am the Only one Like me and theres no other.... (thought i was the worst case scenario....:)))) I don't beleive it !!.... Looks like I've got company. In the same road too !! and I've never seen 'em !! 3 outa the 7 livin quite close to me. Wonder where the remaining 4 are....Spooky shit !!

Its dark. I can only see your TEETH

Had a concert + party at work - Bollywood Style. I was enjoying the performances. (did take part too) The audience was in the dark so as to light up the stage, when the girl in front of me gives a thundering "HI".... Im thinkin who the........ I saw some teeth.... some moments passed for the return "HI" to pop out of me.... err....well then the usual whining....."you didn't recognize me blah blah .....cough..cough. aehhmm.. she's quite dark and very irritating when in the whining mode, you know what I mean. I gathered my self not to utter " I couldn't see you in the dark"...... (but I did see your teeth and recognized your voice.) Then the one next to her suddenly remembers me calling up the concierge guy (who's normally called up to send flowers to the better halves) and accuses me of sending flowers. Hmm.... now I feel I should not have held back my words.

NOTE : No offence to the dark complexion. just that this one happened to be a bit of a character !!

By the way, Phelps reminds me of certain batsman who often score half the runs (in the SL Totals) in Test Matches. Seems to be situ at the mo. Must wait and see if the the States can bag more Golds.

I almost did. Heh heh yeah. Yesterday, amidst all the explosions, one of my dearest buddies decided to say his Good byes and head for one of the Oily Nations. Had a farewell for him at the Colombo Rowing Club. Woo Awesome spot. !! Time was right for a shot (Yeah only 50 ml. That’s all. A rare occurrence !!) for old time’s sake, and God only knows I'll get to chill out at the Rowing Club ever again. Second time though for me. Once I got a chance to savor the delicious food and a cup of tea when I was involved in setting up the sound system for the annual Regatta during school days.

Well, Thats not reason to go flying high. I was crossing the road to go to the club (From the Regal Cinema side to the area where there are the Air Force check points.) I was walking right into some military guys. Hold it… one guy was holding an RPG and another taking his pic from the Phone cam. Then they saw me crossing the road and coming towards them. Holy God…. they gave me the looks, staring right at me. I was expecting the weapon to be directed at me. I almost visualized it and was also wondering why such a massive one for a Stick like me. Fortunately or unfortunately they stopped the gaze and my chances of flying high were vanished. Well this too was the second time for me as once I was targeted by some STF personnel with machine guns when I tried to cross the Road.

On Friday we had a party at office. (A Paduru Party) and would you believe it ?? your’s truly was in charge of the Liquor. I don’t consume normally and definitely not at work. Hmm 16 White Rum, 15 OR, 2 Old Arrack on the menu. It went ofF well with some remaining. Also had to drive a friends car back home since the bugger had consumed and the cops don't have mercy these days.

I must mention the madness of the traffic plans. Closing some roads, making some One Way and changing plans at different times. We’re all messed up I think. Anyhoo.. still looking for a chance to Fly….
