I see THEM.... I see THEM NOT !!

I suddenly remembered an incident that happened some time (years) back.

I was in the bus stand after lectures with a friend. I saw him checking out a nice chick. Well I also turned round and was checking her out although I could see from the corner of my eye she was with a guy. They were quite close to us. I didn't care just kept on looking. My friend suddenly laughed and turned around and said something. I didn't hear that right. Later we got into the bus and I asked him what he said. He said "Machang.... that girl was with S. I think its his girl" Bloody Hell......... S is friend of mine who was also at the same place I went for classes. Shit I didn't notice him. Now what. He must have thought I'm a moron. So the next day I thot I'd go and apologize even if I get hammered by this guy ( S) because he must have invariably seen me fixin my gaze at his girl. So I went and told him "very sorry machang didn't see you". He was laughing like hell saying, "I saw u, u bugger, it was funny hahahaa". That was damn emmmm (embarrasing) Mostly, I felt bad because he was a nice guy who isn't the pada show (show off) type. Hope they are living happily ever after !! I'm very careful after that because if he was a hothead he would have blown my head off, but if so I wouldn't have felt guilty.

Quite a few of my sister's friends come and complain to her that I see them somewhere but do not come and talk to them. errr.... yeah sometimes I see some of them I'm not sure whether its them or someone else. Some even look in such a mood it scares the shit out'uv me. Hmm.... next time I'm gonna talk wha the hell !! Even if its not one of her friends who knows could be a potential contact. hew ew....

Here comes the happening of the week. My maniac uncle (I've talked about him quite a lot) normally has a bottle (Gin) ready for the World Cup Cricket matches where SriLanka play. He finishes the bottle and wrecks havoc. I go to his place to watch the match and talk all the bullshit, horse shit and what not crap in the world. He often calls up a friend and makes noises to bully them just when someone is about hit the winning run or about to hit a hundred. When Italy and France were kicking penalties in the FIFA WC Final, he, nicely sitting in front of the TV, phone in hand, called a friend and bullied him till the penalty shootout was over. That bugger was mad because he missed the climax of the entire tournament. Thursday he had bought a bottle of Gin for the SL vs NZ match.Match starts at 7 pm local time. To see he had finished the bottle while watching the highlights of the previous day's match shown that afternoon. So for the night, "hulang thamai" He sits like Oliver Twist with no food !! I'm waiting to see what happens during the Aussie match. Anyway, Go SRI LANKAAAA......

Whot’s Happening ??

Oh Brother, the Tigers managed to put a bird up over Katunayake. So they haven’t been watching the Bermuda Bangladesh Match to off load the bombs at Midnight. Hmm or was it during the break?? Which means they don’t care who goes to the Super eight. Anyway they can watch the highlights. I’m thinking, since they boast of having an Air Wing, why not a Cricket Team. Now now this is no Joke. Hope everything settles down. Grievances to those who lost loved ones and hope the wounded will be out of danger. Spare a thought for them.

On Saturday morning I was browsing through the TV channels and stumbled upon MAX TV broadcasting an Indian News Program (NDTV) The Host was speaking to many correspondents from various parts of India regarding Friday’s World Cup Cricket Match. Everyone including the correspondents and the Host was dejected and commenting Negative. They spoke to various people who said they are disappointed and are dejected the fact that they watched the match. One woman said “c’mon we Lost to the Lankan Tigers” wot the…. We aren’t Tigers, but Lions and are as good as any professional Cricket team. That woman should learn to present her fact accurately rather than vomiting emotion. Take That!!

Then they asked a young fan what she has to say. I little girl of about 8 years with her hands folded said the most amazing thing, “Wining and Losing are part of the Game. Let’s hope for better luck next time.” She had the courage to be different. WOW. That was very sweet!! (Certain words are not in my vocabulary, especially ‘sweet’, but on this occasion it seems suitable) They should learn a lesson from our people also how take victory and defeat. Anyhoooo GO Sri Lanka…. !!

Today morning I remembered that 25th was my cousin's birthday. So I rang him up.

Me :Hello Aiya, many happy returns of Yesterday !!
Cousin : Why ??
Me : Yesterday, 25th, I couldn’t wish you for your Birthday……….
Cousin : April, April, aiyooooooo
Me : Ahhh…. Sorry sorry sorry……OK Then…. C U….

Kept the receiver down and remembered I asked my mom about his birthday yesterday and she told me it was on the 25th of APRIL. I wondered why nobody wished him. It did not click me still it was March. When I told this to my Father he was laughing like mad. Also my maniac uncle (Cousin’s Father reffered to in Gin & Tonic, Present) is gonna bully me with this for years. I’m one dead Dog. For people don’t know me that well, this is quite common dumb-ass, tubelight shit I happen to do on and off. I don’t believe it. I was convinced it was April !!
